TALLAHASSEE, FL – The South Carolina State men's golf team is in fifth place after 18 holes of the eight-team Florida A&M Spring Invite.
The Bulldogs carded an 18-hole team total of 309, 21-over par, to trail co-leaders Johnson and Wales and Bethune-Cookman, both at 292, 4 over par.
Morehouse was fourth at 301, followed by the Bulldogs, host Florida A&M at 310, Savannah State at 312, and Winston-Salem State with a 332.
Leading the way for Coach Richard Arrington's team was sophomore Hector Arroyave, who had a three-over 75 for 18 holes. He was followed by senior Matt Gilliard at 76, and junior Robert Biggers and senior Cory Jozefiak, both at 79. Also competing for the Bulldogs was senior Aaron Robinson who had an 85.
The final 18 holes will be played Sunday, beginning at 9 a.m.
